Jbel Toubkal

Jbel Toubkal, also known as Tubkal, is the highest peak in Morocco and the Atlas Mountains, standing at 4,167 m (13,671 ft). Situated in Toubkal National Park, it is a prominent mountain visible from Marrakesh, located 63 km (39 mi) to the north. The peak is characterized by volcanic rocks, surrounded by deep valleys and a steep descent to Lac d’Ifni. Trekkers and climbers often use the Ikhibi Nord and Ikhibi South valleys to reach the summit, with the southern route being more popular due to a mountain hut constructed by the French Alpine Club.
